Job description

Position: Controller
Location: Seattle
Schedule: Monday through Friday, business hours
Pay: $100,000-$125,000
***This is a full-time position directly with our client.***
Express Employment Professionals – North Seattle is seeking a Controller to lead day-to-day finance and accounting functions, ensure accurate and timely reporting, manage compliance obligations, and provide strategic financial insight to ownership and leadership. This role is ideal for a hands-on finance professional who values accuracy, and collaboration.
Responsibilities
  • Own the full accounting function — GL, AP/AR, payroll, and close — while maintaining strong internal controls and clean, audit-ready financials
  • Drive financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting, with the analytical chops to translate numbers into actionable recommendations for leadership
  • Manage banking, cash flow, and treasury, and coordinate all tax compliance, audits, and external CPA relationships
  • Serve as a strategic finance partner to ownership and department heads, with a hand in process improvement, systems, and operational decisions
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience, including leadership responsibility
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field or equivalent experience
  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic and ability to work independently while collaborating across teams
