Position Summary


The Controller is responsible for overseeing accounting operations, financial reporting, and compliance while providing financial insight to support business decision-making. This role is well-suited for a hands-on accounting professional who thrives in a small manufacturing environment and enjoys improving processes, building structure, and partnering with leadership.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger activities.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements and supporting schedules.
  • Maintain cost accounting processes, inventory valuation, and job costing.
  • Oversee payroll and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Manage sales tax, property tax, and other required filings.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and KPI reporting.
  • Coordinate year-end activities with external auditors and tax advisors.
  • Strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and financial processes.
  • Provide financial analysis and decision support to leadership.
  • Maintain the integrity of ERP and accounting system data.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing.
