Job Description The Manufacturing Assistant Controller supports the Controller in overseeing all accounting and financial activities within a manufacturing environment. This role focuses on cost accounting, inventory management, financial reporting, and internal controls to ensure accurate financial data and operational efficiency. The position partners closely with plant operations to drive cost control, profitability, and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities Assist in managing the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP. Support cost accounting functions, including standard costing, variance analysis (labor, material, overhead), and cost of goods sold (COGS) analysis. Monitor and analyze inventory valuation, reserves, and cycle count results; ensure accurate inventory accounting.

Partner with plant leadership to provide financial insights on manufacturing performance, including production efficiency and cost drivers. Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, and KPI dashboards. Assist in developing and maintaining budgets, forecasts, and financial models related to manufacturing operations.

Ensure compliance with internal controls, SOX requirements, and company policies. Support internal and external audit processes, including documentation and issue resolution. Drive process improvements and automation initiatives within accounting and reporting functions.

Supervise and mentor accounting staff, as assigned.
