Location: Michigan City, Indiana
Schedule: Full-Time | Fully Onsite
Salary: $130,000 – $150,000 (commensurate with experience)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Controller to join our leadership team in Michigan City, Indiana. This fully onsite position is ideal for a hands-on accounting professional with a proven track record of financial leadership, process improvement, and building high-performing teams. The Controller will oversee all accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, strengthen internal controls, and partner with executive leadership to support business growth and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead all day-to-day accounting and finance operations, including the month-end and year-end close processes, general ledger, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.

  • Prepare and present timely, accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.

  • Identify and implement process improvements that enhance operational efficiency, strengthen internal controls, and improve reporting accuracy.

  • Develop, mentor, and lead the accounting team while fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture.

  • Partner with executive leadership to provide financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic decision-making support.

  • Oversee annual audits, coordinate with external auditors, and ensure compliance with all regulatory and reporting requirements.

  • Monitor cash flow, financial performance, and key business metrics while recommending opportunities for continuous improvement.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and internal control procedures.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.

  • MBA and/or CPA preferred.

  • Minimum 7+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including leadership responsibilities.
