Job description

Morningstar is seeking a Part Time Materials Controller to join the Maintenance Division. The Materials Control team is based in Calgary (YYC). The successful candidate must be willing to relocate to the Calgary area.The Materials Controller will be able to support the procurement and control of all aircraft parts, materials and tools for the organization. The ideal individual will require strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills. This position deals with internal and external customers.

Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Control, ship and receive all aircraft parts and materials in accordance with company procedures;
  • Maintain the main stores in accordance with company procedures;
  • Procurement of ad hoc and regular stock items for the various bases and locations that Morningstar operates from;
  • Maintain the Shelf Life program;
  • Maintain Core return/exchange items;
  • Maintain warranty claims;
  • Maintain scrap parts program.

Qualifications:

  • Materials Control experience in aviation is preferred;
  • Experience with WHMIS, Dangerous Goods;
  • Experience with Inventory programs beneficial;
  • Must be able to lift up to 34 kg;
  • Must want to work only irregular scheduled hours andbe available to work varying shifts including days, evenings, nights and weekends;
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word;
  • Must possess a valid Class 5 Canadian Driver's License;
  • Must be able to obtain a Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC);
  • Post secondary education in the procurement field would be an asset.
