Location: Canton, Ohio
Salary: $110,000–$130,000 per year
Schedule: Full-Time | Primarily In-Office | Hybrid – 3 Days in Office, 2 Days from Home

Are you an experienced accounting professional looking for a hands-on leadership opportunity where your work will have a direct impact on a growing company?

A Quality Facility Services (AQFS) is looking for a Controller / Accounting Manager to take ownership of our day-to-day accounting operations and play an important role in the continued growth of the company.

This is not a position where you will simply be another number in a large organization. You will have a voice, your ideas will be heard, and you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in how the company operates and grows.

This is a hands-on position. You will be involved in the accounting function while also helping improve processes, strengthen financial reporting, and support the continued growth of the company.

The position offers a hybrid schedule of 3 days in the office and 2 days from home.

What You’ll Do

You’ll take ownership of the company’s day-to-day accounting operations.

This is a hands-on position where you will both perform and oversee core accounting functions.

  • Manage and perform accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Reconcile bank statements and cash accounts
  • Prepare general ledger entries and month-end adjustments
  • Assist with payroll processing and accuracy checks
  • Support monthly financial reporting and account reconciliations
  • Assist with audit preparation and financial documentation
  • Maintain organized and accurate financial records
  • Support accounting and finance projects
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and efficiency
  • Help ensure the accuracy and integrity of the company’s financial information
  • Take ownership of day-to-day accounting operations and processes
What We’re Looking For
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Experience taking ownership of day-to-day accounting operations
  • Accounting Manager, Assistant Controller, Controller, Senior Accountant, or similar experience preferred
  • Strong Excel and accounting software skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organization
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with the team
  • Willingness and ability to remain hands-on with day-to-day accounting responsibilities
  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in accounting, finance, or business preferred
  • Experience in public accounting or a CPA firm is a plus, but not required
