Operations Risk & Controls Lead (Financial Services)

BizTek People is looking for an experienced Operations Risk & Controls Lead (Financial Services) for our client in NYC! Location: Midtown New York Schedule: Full-Time | Onsite/ Hybrid (5 days in office, 5 days work from home rotating) Contract: 6 months with potential extension Benefits: Health, Dental, Vision, 401k Key Responsibilities: Own the Operations Control Tower, including daily risk dashboards and senior management reporting across Banking and Capital Markets Operations. Produce monthly control and risk reports covering incidents, audit issues, control gaps, and remediation status. Lead automation of Operations reporting by defining requirements, coordinating with IT, and managing UAT and rollout. Conduct formal reviews of Operations procedures, process maps, and control alignment with internal policy and regulatory standards. Lead annual RCSAs across Operations, including issue challenge, control validation, and sign-off. Minimum Requirements: 10+ years in Operations controls, operational risk, or audit within a banking or capital markets firm. Proven experience with direct ownership of Operations dashboards, senior management reporting, and control frameworks. Proven experience leading RCSAs, process mapping, and control reviews across multiple teams. Strong working knowledge of U.S. banking and capital markets regulations impacting Operations.
