Description:

The Systems Engineer designs and oversees implementation of physical security systems. This role ensures solutions are technically correct, aligned with customer requirements, and executable by field teams. The Systems Engineer coordinates technical decisions across commissioning, project management, CAD, and installation teams and serves as the Tier 2 technical escalation point.

Requirements:

Major Roles and Responsibilities:

  • System Design:
  • Develop system architecture based on customer requirements, site conditions, and Prime standards.
  • Select appropriate hardware, software, and network configurations; ensure designs are executable.
  • Implementation Oversight:
  • Direct commissioning engineers during deployment; ensure installations follow design intent.
  • Technical Review:
  • Review documentation and configuration for accuracy; validate deviations and provide guidance.
  • Escalations:
  • Serve as Tier 2 escalation; resolve integration and design-related issues; coordinate fixes across teams.
  • Collaboration:
  • Work with project managers, CAD, estimating, and field teams to support successful delivery and reduce rework.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 3-7 years of technical experience in physical security engineering.
  • Strong understanding of access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and related technologies.
  • Strong understanding of network protocols and system integration.
  • Proven ability to lead system design and technical execution with minimal oversight.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Genetec Certification (OTC 002 & STC 002).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Probationary period of 90 days.
