Control Systems Engineer Central Engineering Support Team

The Central Engineering Support Team is a national, high-skill engineering resource group that provides specialized technical support, mentoring, and engineering deliverables to supplement and strengthen local engineering teams across the organization. The core purpose of the team is:

  • Augment local engineering capacity when sources are limited or skillsets are stretched
  • Deliver high-quality, buildable engineering solutions (hardware, software, graphics, commissioning support)
  • Provide mentoring and knowledge transfer to elevate local engineers and teams
  • Promote standardization, best practices, and process consistency across regions
What you will do
  • Under general direction of the Central Engineering Support Team Leaders, you will be assigned work based on the needs of local branches across the United States, participate in company objectives, such as instruct formal training classes, and work in special groups, like the mentoring program, QA/QC development, and delivery standardization.
  • Participate in turnover meetings with the branch field team and will work closely with the branch Lead Engineer to provide quality delivery.
  • Delivery can include any of the following: Design and configure technically complex building control systems as defined by the contract documents.
  • Coordinates the creation of necessary drawings (flow diagrams, point schedule, sequence of operations, bill of material, network layouts etc.) and schedules (valve, damper, etc.) for submittals and installation.
  • Develop and tests software programs necessary to operate the system with the intent of the branchโ€™s project requirements.
  • Provide remote troubleshooting support with graphics and databases
  • Ensure quality and consistency by strictly following QA/QC standards for all engineering deliverables.
  • Select, order, and track the delivery of materials for assigned projects.
  • Coordinate factory-mounting processes to meet factory and project schedule.
  • May assist in the start-up, loading and commissioning of system controllers as required.
  • May assist in commissioning system functionality and troubleshoot problems with subcontractors and other trades to ensure proper operation.
  • Maintains clear communication with branch teams regarding your progress, risks and concerns.
  • Actively participate in the Engineering Mentoring Program.
  • Adheres to safety standards.
  • High degree of regard to employee and subcontractor safety.

HIRING SALARY RANGE

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $85,000 โ€“ 118,000. USD Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
