Job description

Temperature Controls Technician

Location: Sioux Falls, SD

About the Role

Weโ€™re looking for a skilled and motivated Temperature Controls Technician to join our growing team. In this role, youโ€™ll be responsible for installing, programming, calibrating, and maintaining temperature and HVAC control systems for commercial and industrial clients. Youโ€™ll ensure systems operate efficiently, reliably, and in compliance with design specifications and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and commission temperature control systems, sensors, and related HVAC automation equipment.
  • Program and commission DDC (Direct Digital Control) systems.
  • Perform system integration, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure reliable performance and energy efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot and repair control systems to maintain optimal performance.
  • Read and interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical specifications.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and calibrations on temperature and environmental control systems.
  • Collaborate with project managers, end users, and facility personnel to support ongoing projects.
  • Provide technical support and training for clients.
  • Document all work performed, including test results and system changes.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent (technical certification or associate degree preferred).
  • 2+ years of experience in temperature control, HVAC, or building automation systems.
  • Working knowledge of control logic, electrical systems, and instrumentation.
  • Familiarity with control platforms.
