Job description

Role: Distributed Control Systems Technician

Location: Cape Canaveral, FL (must be able to interview/test in person)

Employment Type: 6 month contract, potential extensions

Pay: $38/hour + daily per diem if traveling in

Hours: 60 hours/week
Shift Type: Day Shift


Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Build and wire PLC/DCS control panels and cabinets.
  • Install conduit, control wiring, and low-voltage instrumentation.
  • Assemble and integrate DAQ systems, sensors, and field devices.
  • Read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Terminate connectors, cables, and instrumentation.
  • Perform testing, troubleshooting, and system startup support.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of controls, electrical, instrumentation, or panel building experience.
  • Experience building and wiring PLC or DCS control panels.
  • Conduit installation and low-voltage wiring experience.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Experience with DAQ systems and industrial instrumentation preferred.
  • Strong electrical troubleshooting skills.
