Could you be the full-time Electrification Project Coordinator Intern in Toronto, ON, we’re looking for?


Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your project coordination and electrification expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and innovative teammates.

You'll play a key role in supporting the Electrification management team for the project, contributing to the success of electrification initiatives. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Engineering, Construction, Project Management, and more), assist in consolidating KPIs through automated dashboards, and support documentation management activities, among other responsibilities.

You’ll specifically take care of preparing internal and external reporting for various meetings, as well as maintaining and updating the Electrification Deliverables List on a weekly basis, but also support subcontractor and supplier coordination.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Managing interfaces at the project level with team members and internal stakeholders/partners

  • Preparing weekly and monthly internal and external reporting for meetings (Alstom reviews, VizRoom, Control room, internal Electrification reviews)

  • Assisting in the consolidation of KPIs through automated dashboards (Excel, Power BI)

  • Supporting subcontractors and suppliers’ coordination, including business case preparation and readiness for approvals

  • Maintaining and updating the Electrification Deliverables List while coordinating with Engineering, Construction, and Doc Control teams

  • Supporting documentation management activities, including tracking and publication workflows

  • Conducting technical benchmarking and researching internal best practices within Alstom Electrification projects

  • Enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering

  • Desirable: Enrolled in a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or Project Management

  • Good understanding of Electrification subsystems

  • Knowledge of PMO processes

  • Autonomy, result-oriented, and solution-oriented mindset

  • Fluency in English (a second language is appreciated)

  • Knowledge of Railway Electrification systems or interest in Railway Engineering

  • Proficient in standard office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), Power BI, Visio, Macro programming languages, and Project Management software

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills (teamwork and leadership)

  • Analytical and critical thinking

  • Problem-solving ability and resilience

Compensation

The expected compensation for this role is $23 – $27 CAD per hour. Final compensation will be based on skills, experience, and internal equity.
