As a Senior Industrial Control Panel Builder, you will be a member of our Production team. In this role you will be responsible for wiring and building complex customized industrial control panels with minimal supervision. You will be held accountable for completing projects with a high degree of quality, and meeting project deadlines.


Essential Functions:

  • Attend kickoff meetings with Engineering team and customers to understand project requirements.
  • Build and wire complex industrial control panels from start to finish by following and interpreting electrical schematics within allotted project hours and by due date.
  • Layout, drill, punch, tap, and mounting of components in sheet metal enclosures.
  • Route and bundle wires and cables neatly and according to established electrical standards.
  • Ensure work meets project specifications and quality standards.
  • Troubleshoot or wire turnkey automation equipment in-house or at customer locations.
  • Identify and resolve concerns with schematics and drawings that may impact overall quality and functioning of completed project.
  • Escalate any concerns or issues related to project timeline, quality issues, etc. to Account Lead.
  • Conduct field service work at customer locations (travel up to 15% of the time).
  • Improve quality of work and personal productivity on a continuous basis.
  • Follow and comply with all safety protocols, work regulations and 6S guidelines.
  • Maintain clean work area; promptly remove debris.
  • Maintain reliable and predictable attendance.


Requirements

Senior Industrial Control Panel Technician - Minimum Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Demonstrate computer literacy, to include use of Microsoft Outlook.
  • At least 3 years of experience in building and wiring custom industrial control panels.
  • Must be able to read and interpret electrical schematics.
  • Must be familiar with Electrical Codes and UL standards.
  • Must hold valid driver's license with ability to travel between work locations and to customer sites.


Work Environment/Physical Requirements:

Work environment is light industrial, with exposure to a moderate level of noise. Daily operations in work environment includes the use of basic power tools, hand tools, and repetitive hand motion in manipulating electrical wires. Sitting, standing, and bending at waist for up to 3 consecutive hours at time. May need to reach above shoulder height for extended periods of time. May be exposed to fumes and airborne particles. Must be able to climb stairs, and move freely between aisles of parts, equipment, shelving units. Must be able to carry or lift at least 40 pounds.
