Job description

We are seeking an experienced Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) to play a key role in supporting quality and compliance efforts for large-scale, custom-fabricated projects serving the rapidly expanding data center industry.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a company experiencing tremendous growth, with major projects supporting some of the world's largest technology organizations. As demand continues to increase, quality remains a top priority, making this a highly visible and impactful position within the organization.

Why Consider This Opportunity?
  • Growing organization with significant expansion plans and strong project backlog
  • Work on large-scale, custom-engineered products rather than repetitive production work
  • No travel required
  • First shift schedule: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
  • Competitive pay up to $55/hour
  • Opportunity to work closely with welding, fabrication, engineering, and quality teams
  • Play a critical role in ensuring compliance on high-profile projects
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform visual weld inspections throughout all phases of fabrication
  • Review and approve welding procedures and documentation
  • Ensure compliance with AWS D1.1 and customer specifications
  • Coordinate and oversee non-destructive testing (NDT) activities, including PT, MT, RT, and UT
  • Verify welder qualifications and certifications
  • Support quality control initiatives and continuous improvement efforts
  • Communicate inspection findings and collaborate with production teams to resolve quality issues
  • Promote and maintain a safe work environment
Qualifications

Required:

  • Active AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a CWI in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
  • Experience inspecting structural steel, industrial equipment, or custom fabricated assemblies
  • Strong understanding of AWS D1.1 and related welding codes
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and engineering drawings
  • Experience reviewing welding procedures (WPS/PQR)

Preferred:

  • Additional NDT certifications (PT, MT, RT, UT)
  • Degree in Welding Technology, Manufacturing, or a related field
What We're Looking For

We are seeking a hands-on inspector who takes pride in quality, understands fabrication processes, and enjoys working closely with production teams to ensure projects are completed safely, accurately, and to the highest standards. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing organization where your expertise will directly contribute to the success of critical infrastructure projects.
