Job description
This is a high-impact leadership mandate for a dominant player in the commercial landscape maintenance sector, targeting an executive to oversee a high-value, multi-site regional portfolio. The organization is a market leader focused on the aggressive expansion of its recurring revenue base through operational density and strategic service integration.
The incoming Regional VP will be responsible for institutionalizing operational rigor across a mature territory while identifying untapped levers for margin expansion. The mandate is to drive best-in-class retention and profitability by optimizing route logistics and scaling high-margin enhancement sales. This is a role for a strategic operator who views landscaping through the lens of industrial efficiency and contractual excellence.
KEY LEADERSHIP MANDATES
Recurring Revenue Growth: Architect and execute strategies to expand the contractual maintenance base while maintaining industry-leading client retention rates.
Route Density Optimization: Drive gross margin preservation by optimizing geographical service density and minimizing non-productive drive time across the regional fleet.
Enhancement Cross-Selling: Institutionalize a proactive sales culture focused on maximizing ancillary service penetration (enhancements/snow/irrigation) within the existing portfolio.
P&L & EBITDA Performance: Full regional P&L accountability, with a specific focus on controlling direct labor costs and optimizing material procurement.
Operational Standardization: Enforce uniform SOPs across multiple branch locations to ensure consistent brand delivery and safety compliance.
Talent Bench Strength: Build and mentor a high-performing layer of Branch Managers, ensuring a scalable leadership structure to support future territorial growth.
Client Relationship Management: Act as the executive sponsor for Tier-1 commercial, industrial, and HOA accounts to ensure long-term partnership stability.
Asset & Fleet Stewardship: Oversee the strategic deployment and maintenance of a significant regional equipment fleet and vehicle inventory.
IDEAL EXECUTIVE PROFILE
The successful candidate is a high-performing multi-site leader with extensive experience in commercial landscape maintenance or route-based facility services. You possess a proven track record of managing a $50M–$100M+ regional P&L and have a history of driving measurable improvements in field productivity. You are a metrics-driven executive who understands the nuances of seasonal labor management, "green-industry" logistics, and the strategic importance of enhancement sales in driving regional EBITDA.
