Job description

Linestart LLC is hiring an Entertainment Consultant (1099, independent contract) to serve as an Entertainment Industry advisor both internally and in client-facing settings based in the U.S.

This role will serve as an internal Point of Contact (POC) monitoring and reporting on entertainment market dynamics in the film, acting, screenwriters, music, and marketing sectors in the Los Angeles area.

Scope of Work:

-The goal of this role will be to conduct outreach to entertainment decisionmakers and management teams to pitch our specialized services.

-To act as a liaison and advisor to agents representing clients in entertainment sectors by providing feasibility studies for projects being developed or targeted for representation, designing pitch strategies, and support in contractual negotiations.

-To advise clients on culturally or professionally sensitive screenwriting and marketing by conducting research in relevant communities, geographic regions, and forums.

-Develop a pipeline of clients and a range of marketing products keyed to specific demographic trends and dynamics.

-Work internally as a business development resource to develop FS capabilities in Los Angeles and the broader entertainment enterprise in the U.S.

Requirements:

  • Coursework in English, Humanities, or Social Sciences.

  • 5 to 10 years of experience working for a representation agency, studio, or as a screenwriter or actor.

  • Ability & willingness to travel domestically/internationally.
