SUMMARY/Primary Function

The Project Manager is responsible for leading the execution of complex, large-scale critical power projects from initiation through commissioning and closeout. This role oversees all aspects of project delivery, including engineering coordination, procurement, installation, and client management, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.

This position requires deep expertise in critical power infrastructure (UPS, battery systems) and strong leadership in managing cross-functional teams and high-profile clients.

Principle Job Duties

  • Lead full lifecycle delivery of large-scale critical power projects, including data centers, healthcare, and industrial applications
  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations
  • Ensure alignment with contract scope, technical specifications, and client expectations
  • Drive project milestones, proactively identifying and mitigating risks
  • Own project P&L, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
  • Manage change orders, billing milestones, and financial reporting
  • Ensure profitability targets are met or exceeded
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients and stakeholders
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships through consistent communication and performance
  • Lead project meetings, executive updates, and progress reviews
  • Coordinate closely with engineering teams to ensure system design meets application requirements
  • Oversee installation, commissioning, and testing of critical power systems
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., NEC, NFPA, IEEE)
  • Lead cross-functional teams including engineering, field service, procurement, and subcontractors
  • Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement
  • Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Manage subcontractor performance and contractual compliance

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this role successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential additional responsibility/duty satisfactorily and have a consistent history of a high-performance track record. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
  • 8-10+ years of project management experience, preferably in critical power, electrical infrastructure, or data center environments
  • Strong knowledge of UPS systems and backup power solutions
  • PMP certification strongly preferred
