Job Description:

L3Harris Aeromet in Tulsa, OK is looking for an experienced Contract Specialist to join our team. We're seeking someone who has a strong background in US Government contracting and enjoys working across a variety of programs and requirements. In this role, you'll manage daytoday contract activities from start to finish and collaborate closely with teammates across the organization.

Essential Functions:

As a Contract Specialist, you'll drive mission success by leading key contract activities from start to finish, including:

  • Serving as the primary customer interface for all contractual matters
  • Communicating contract obligations clearly across the program team
  • Participating in proposal prep, negotiations, and customer discussions
  • Assessing and mitigating risk across financial terms, delivery, warranty, IP, and more
  • Preparing clear written communications for internal and external stakeholders
  • Maintaining accurate contract data in enterprise systems
  • Ensuring timely deliverables and invoice submission
  • Reviewing and updating terms and conditions, identifying risks, and negotiating resolutions
  • Supporting additional program needs as required
  • Other duties as assigned

You'll collaborate closely with engineering, program management, finance, operations, supply chain, and quality to help simplify complex guidance and support informed decisionmaking across the team.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of relevant experience; OR
  • Master's degree with 2+ years of relevant experience; OR
  • 8+ years of directly related experience in lieu of a degree
  • Working knowledge of FAR, DFAR and/or government acquisition regulations

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Contract administration or contract management experience in the Aerospace or Defense industry
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • An active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance
  • Clear understanding of DoD contracting and knowledge of multiple contract types
  • Experience with intellectual property (IP) and data rights
  • Working knowledge of export compliance
  • Ability to resolve issues, think critically, and navigate complex problems
