Azure AI Lead 6-12 month Client- John deere Visa no H1-B rate- $85hr C2C Moline, IL Onsite- non local will work Position Overview We are seeking an accomplished Azure AI Lead with deep expertise across the Microsoft ecosystem - Azure AI Foundry, Azure AI Services, Azure OpenAI, Dynamics 365, Azure infrastructure, IaC, and low-code/no-code platforms such as Power Platform and Copilot Studio. This role provides technical leadership, architectural oversight, and governance direction to drive secure, scalable, enterprise-grade AI solutions. Key Responsibilities 1. AI Architecture & Solution Leadership
  • Lead end-to-end architecture of AI solutions using Azure AI Foundry, Azure AI Services, Cognitive Services, Azure OpenAI, and Azure ML.
  • Guide design of Generative AI capabilities including LLM orchestration, RAG patterns, embeddings, vector search, and intelligent automation.
  • Oversee delivery of AI-enabled solutions using Power Apps, Power Automate, Copilot Studio, Power Pages, and Dataverse.
  • Provide leadership across solution blueprints, HLD/LLD creation, API design, integration frameworks, and architectural reviews.
  • Conduct technical discovery, solution validation, and ensure delivery alignment across teams.
2. Azure Infrastructure & IaC Leadership
  • Lead the design of cloud-native AI infrastructures using AKS, Azure Functions, App Services, APIM, Event Grid, Azure SQL, Storage, and VNETs.
  • Direct IaC implementation with Terraform, Bicep, ARM, and enforce standards across teams.
  • Ensure architectural excellence around scalability, performance, identity, and cost optimization.
3. Microsoft Ecosystem, Dynamics 365 & LCNC Integration
  • Lead integration of AI capabilities across Dynamics 365, Power Platform, and Microsoft 365.
  • Architect low-code/no-code-driven AI experiences using Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Pages, Copilot Studio.
  • Oversee enterprise-grade integration layers using Graph API, Dataverse API, APIM, and REST microservices.
  • Drive Copilot-enabled workflows across business teams to accelerate adoption and business value.
4. AI Engineering, Data & Integration Leadership
  • Lead implementation of retrieval-based AI systems using Azure AI Search, embeddings, vector indexes, and multi-source grounding.
  • Oversee data integration across Dataverse, SQL, SharePoint, Blob Storage, and external systems.
  • Establish reusable AI assets-prompts, templates, connectors, pipelines-for enterprise reuse.
  • Ensure telemetry, monitoring dashboards, performance tuning, and model lifecycle practices are in place.
5. AI Governance & Responsible AI Ownership The Azure AI Lead will own and drive the organization's AI governance and responsible AI strategy. AI Governance Responsibilities
  • Define and enforce AI governance frameworks, standards, and compliance controls for GenAI and Azure AI workloads.
  • Establish AI-related data governance practices-data sourcing, lineage, retention, sensitivity, and access.
  • Ensure solutions adhere to Microsoft Responsible AI principles-fairness, transparency, reliability, security, and accountability.
  • Assess and mitigate risks including hallucinations, data leakage, bias, and misuse.
  • Lead architectural governance reviews, security assessments, and compliance checkpoints.
  • Define and enforce guardrails for:
    • prompt engineering & security
    • grounding & retrieval
    • inference controls
    • logging, monitoring & auditability
  • Partner with InfoSec, Compliance, Risk, and Legal to align AI solutions with regulatory and enterprise standards.
  • Develop governance artifacts including AI playbooks, best practices, model evaluation criteria, and deployment standards.
  • Lead or support the AI Center of Excellence (CoE) to promote governance, reuse, and adoption of standardized AI patterns.
Required Qualifications
  • 12+ years of experience in cloud, AI, or solution architecture roles.
  • Expertise in Azure AI Foundry, Azure AI Services, Azure OpenAI, Cognitive Services, and vector-based retrieval.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Dynamics 365, Dataverse, Power Platform Low Code, No Code tools.
  • Deep knowledge of Azure infrastructure and IaC (Terraform, Bicep, ARM).
  • Strong solution design experience with multi-system enterprise architectures.
  • Programming experience with REST APIs, Graph API, JSON, Python, C#, or TypeScript.
  • Strong analytical skills and proven ability to lead cross-functional technical decisions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Microsoft certifications: AI-102, AZ-305, DP-100, PL-600, MB-600.
  • Experience with LangChain, Semantic Kernel, or LLM orchestration patterns.
  • Background in AI governance, risk management, or regulated industry AI solutions.
  • Experience leading or contributing to AI CoEs or enterprise governance bodies.
