Job Description Technical Business Systems Analyst (BSA) Location: Tampa, FL Duration: 24 months Work Arrangement Hybrid schedule: four days onsite in Midtown and one day remote per week. Candidates with international education credentials must work with the Operations team to submit credential verification promptly after applying. Employment is subject to a drug screening.

Medical cannabis/THC cards are not accepted. This position supports corporate business functions, including Human Resources and Finance. SAP experience is required.

Position Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Business Systems Analyst to join our utility company's Technology Project Management Office (PMO). The Technical BSA will bridge the gap between business needs and technology solutions within a large, complex enterprise environment. The ideal candidate has strong experience in IT project delivery, requirements traceability, test planning and execution, technical mapping, and process modeling.

This person must be able to work independently, move quickly, and gather and refine requirements across multiple stakeholders and initiatives. The Technical BSA will collaborate with cross-functional business and technology teams to support system enhancements, integrations, and implementations while ensuring alignment with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and enterprise architecture standards. Key Responsibilities Requirements Gathering and Analysis Independently engage business and technology stakeholders to rapidly elicit, analyze, refine, and document business and system requirements across multiple initiatives.

Translate business needs into clear, detailed functional and technical requirements. Develop and maintain Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTMs), ensuring full lifecycle traceability from requirements through development, testing, and deployment. Map business processes and requirements to system capabilities, identify gaps, and recommend appropriate solutions.

Support validation activities by developing or contributing to test scenarios, test cases, and test scripts. Confirm that delivered solutions align with documented business and technical requirements. Enterprise IT Project Delivery Contribute to large-scale IT projects, system implementations, enhancements, and integrations using established Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or other SDLC methodologies.

Serve as a key liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams to support the timely, high-quality delivery of project milestones. Use Azure DevOps to manage backlogs, user stories, acceptance criteria, tasks, defects, and sprint activities. Support project planning, including scope definition, impact analysis, dependency management, and risk identification.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture, regulatory requirements, and organizational objectives. Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with minimal oversight. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.

At least three to five years of experience as a Technical Business Systems Analyst or in a similar role within a large enterprise IT environment. Hands-on SAP experience. Demonstrated experience developing and managing Requirements Traceability Matrices.

Experience writing test plans, test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts. Strong technical mapping, business process mapping, and process-modeling skills. Proven ability to gather requirements independently and efficiently from multiple stakeholders.

Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps or a comparable backlog and application lifecycle management platform. Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall. Preferred Qualifications Experience in the utility or energy industry.

Familiarity with Smartsheet, GIS platforms, or energy management systems. Experience supporting large-scale system implementations or digital transformation initiatives. Experience with enterprise ERP platforms such as SAP or Oracle.

Professional certification such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, or ITIL. Key Competencies Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Effective stakeholder engagement and relationship management. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. High attention to detail and strong documentation discipline.

Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
