How much do contractual multi engine instructor jobs pay per year?
What is the difference between Contractual Multi Engine Instructor vs Flight Instructor?
| Aspect | Contractual Multi Engine Instructor | Flight Instructor |
|---|---|---|
| Certifications | Commercial Pilot License with Multi-Engine Rating, Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) | Private Pilot License, Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) |
| Work Environment | Multi-engine aircraft, often on contract for flight schools or operators | Single-engine aircraft, flight schools, or flight training academies |
| Employer & Industry Usage | Airlines, charter companies, flight training providers | Flight training schools, private flight academies |
The main difference is that a Contractual Multi Engine Instructor specializes in multi-engine aircraft and holds specific multi-engine certifications, often working on a contractual basis. A Flight Instructor typically teaches in single-engine aircraft and may work full-time or part-time at flight schools. Both roles require CFI certification, but the aircraft type and industry focus distinguish them.
