Metal Market Manager
Job Description Summary
The primary function of the Metal Market Manager is to assist with the coordination of metal market recovery globally for all customers, minimizing financial risk to DAUCH from market fluctuation. This includes serving as a subject-matter expert on metal market to Sales, Engineering, Finance, DAUCH Manufacturing Plants and the Customer. The Metal Market Manager also supports business process development in Global Sales Administration including but not limited to Contract Review, Directed Buy metal pricing, customer weight audits, and other duties as assigned.
Job Description:
  • Conducts analysis of bill of material to determine metal content (BASS Sheet) and establish contractual metal market weights with the customer.
  • Coordinates internal part weight audits and customer part weight audits at DAUCH Manufacturing Plants to confirm contractual metal market weights.
  • Defines metal market baseline rates and recovery programs for new business quotations with support from Sales Account Managers and Customer.
  • Works with Commercial Finance team to ensure metal market indices are accurately loaded into Oracle for automatic metal market recovery programs.
  • Conducts pricing calculations in Excel for manual metal market recovery programs.
  • Reviews all metal market pricing updates for customers globally ensuring pricing is in alignment with contractual agreement.
  • Conducts all ad hoc financial analyses related to metal market recovery programs with a high degree of attention to detail.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Education
  • Bachelor's Degree required. Finance preferred.
  • 2-4 years of experience in Sales, Engineering, Finance or related function.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office. Advanced Excel (Pivot tables, data connections, etc.)
  • Experience with / understanding of sales business processes.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
