Job description

Senior Scheduler

PBF Energy Inc. is one of the largest independent refiners in North America, operating through its subsidiaries, oil refineries and related facilities. We are seeking a talented Sr. Scheduler to join our team as a pivotal member that would play a key role here at PBF Energy. This role would be located onsite at our location in The Woodlands, TX.

The Sr. Scheduler will be responsible for a team coordinating the movement of Renewable Diesel Feedstocks and LPG/Naphtha/Sustainable Aviation Fuel/Renewable Diesel from our Gulf Coast Renewable Diesel Plant via vessel, pipeline, and rail.

Principal Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate the movement of Feedstocks/Products that fulfill contractual obligations with external counterparts as well as internal production/consumption requirements.
    • This involves daily communication with Commercial trading personnel, Economics and Planning teams, Operations and external vendors including transporters, inspection companies, vessel agents, and customs brokers.
    • Creating/sending nominations to counterparties, inspection companies, terminals, agents
    • Tracking movement of Feedstocks/Product, making timely adjustments and recommendations
  • Runout/Supply Chain/Schedule Management
    • Managing relationships and performance of third-party terminals
    • Managing rail fleet
    • Creating orders, adding expenses, movement documentation, reconciliation, and actualizing
    • Updating runout for new, changed volumes, and timing.
    • Understanding and evaluating forecasted supply and demand
    • Working with other teams, such as Accounting, Risk, etc.
  • Supervisory responsibilities include:
    • Overseeing the team's adherence to internal Risk, Compliance, and Accounting requirements.
    • Will also be responsible for training and managing the daily tasks of team members.
  • Other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications:
  • Degree in Business or related discipline; prefer Supply Chain Management
  • 7+ years' experience in logistics, supply chain or scheduling environment with commodity products preferably in the agriculture/oil/energy industry is a plus; renewable energy experience preferred
  • Macro understanding of Energy/Ag markets and economics
  • Experience working in a trading environment interacting with internal and external counterparts
  • MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Strong Excel Skills Preferred
  • ERP System experience, RightAngle preferred
  • This position is on site 5 days a week.
