Job description

Senior Contract Management & Controlling Specialist

The position title may later become "Contract Management & Controlling Lead" upon hire.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take ownership of licensing and other agreement obligations throughout the entire relationship lifecycle.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for licensors regarding all non‑financial and financial reporting obligations.
  • Thoroughly assess executed agreements to identify key financial and non‑financial obligations and ensure they are accurately captured in the centralized licensing system (eBDS).
  • Proactively manage and oversee end‑to‑end fulfillment of contractual obligations, both internally and externally.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and provide data and expert assistance in the event of contractual disputes or necessary legal actions.
  • Provide technical and procedural guidance on the use of templates and database systems used for documentation of royalty obligations.
  • Identify and determine financial obligations during the development phase and at the time of product launch by working with Legal, Patents, Business and Finance teams.
  • Review obligation inputs within the licensing/partnering tracking database to ensure Roche products are accurately identified and linked to licensed patents and in‑licensed materials.
  • Monitor upcoming obligations, provide line of sight and coordinate with Finance to ensure timely payments to licensors.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Finance, Legal, Business, etc.) required; Master’s degree highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 5years of professional experience in a Finance/Controlling or Patent/Legal environment.
  • Individual contributor/subject‑matter expert role – no direct people or budget management responsibilities.

Salary Range

Expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Tucson, AZ is $77,700 – $144,300. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job‑related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance.
