Job description

We are seeking experienced Logistics Management Specialists (LMS'), to support the 638th Supply Chain Management Group (638 SCMG) at Robins AFB, Ga to provide expert logistics management and supply chain services to advise on strategic sustainment acquisition phases of assigned systems, programs, or major equipment, systems-subsystems, or programs to analyze installation and Major Command planning and programming documents to determine the nature and scope of acquisition and sustainment efforts. LMS shall provide assistance and guidance on logistics systems and processes to assigned Integrated Product Team (IPT) members and other personnel in their assigned area. Activities involving supply chain management systems and processes include developing tactical and strategic acquisition strategies, Depot Source of Repair (DSOR/SORA), Requirements Approval Document (RAD),Purchase Request Process System (PRPS), Wide Area Work Flow (WAWF), LIMS-EV, Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Asset Visibility, Commercial Asset Visibility Air Force (CAV-AF), Planning for DLA Managed Consumables (PDMC)/ Demand Data Exchange (DDE), Basing & Logistics Analytical Data Environment (BLADE) formerly - Logistics, Installations and Mission Support Enterprise View (LIMS-EV).

The ideal candidate brings deep knowledge in the implementation of the sourcing strategies utilizing the eight-step strategic sourcing process and continuous process improvements to streamline contractual efforts and conduct analyses on past, current and future performance and spend data to select the best overall strategy for the portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Planning, managing, and coordinating life cycle logistics support in strategic sustainment acquisition activities for the enterprise Supply Chain
  • Develop, publish and update supply chain strategies and associated implementation plans that support achievement of supply objectives through contractual, financial, and technical aspects of the acquisition life cycle
  • Prepare presentations, papers, and other correspondence necessary to support logistics execution
  • Prepare reports and briefings for management and customers.
  • Work with IPT members to execute requirements
  • Utilize relevant data systems
  • Ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience as a logistics management specialist (either as contractor or government)
  • Knowledge in developing and preparing purchase instrument packages using PRPS
  • Experience supporting IPTs with National Stock Number (NSN) reviews
  • Proficiency with the Web, MS Office, and Sharepoint
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to develop executive-level briefings, reports, and customer deliverables
  • Knowledge of AFI-23-101 and AFMCMAN 23-101 v4
