Job description

Job Description The Chief Information Officer (CIO) is responsible for the overall day-to-day operations and management of the Office of Information Technology which is responsible for all Office of the Auditor General networks, information systems, data security, and user support. The CIO ensures that both the Information Technology and Information Security organizational objectives are met. Required Education and Experience Education Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major, preferably in computer science or information technology (or the equivalent).

Experience At least two years of professional experience as a manager or program/staff specialist or equivalent experience. At least 5 years of supervisory experience at the 15 level or above within the computer information field preferred. At least 5 years of Information Technology experience preferred.

Additional Requirements and Information Knowledge of the nature and impact of administrative and regulatory requirements pertaining to strategic planning and the ability to identify problems and potential concerns, to develop creative and innovative solutions, and provide leadership, involving others in the decision-making process. Knowledge of the basic mission of the OAG and the ability to advocate positions, communicate ideas and information, and to work effectively on teams in support of common objectives. CISA, PMP, and/or CISSP certificates/licenses desirable.
