Job description

Job Title: Azure Data Engineer
Location: Seattle, WA (Remote - Local Candidates Preferred)
Duration: 6-12 Months Plus
Must have :
  • Strong in Object Oriented Analysis & Design concepts.
  • Strong understanding of the Microsoft Fabric environment setup
  • Strong in programming languages such as C#, Python, Scala etc. with hands-on in data interchangeable formats like JSON, YMAL.
  • Strong knowledge on PowerShell
  • Good understanding of data integration techniques, ETL processes, task/data orchestration with hands-on in AT LEAST one of the tools: Azure Data Factory, Azure Logic App.
  • Familiar with the Azure ecosystem, with a good understanding of areas like Azure Event Grid/Hubs, Azure Apps/Functions, Azure Stream Analytics, etc.
  • Problem solving and troubleshooting with good comm and continuous learning attribute.

Good to have-
  • Understanding of data modeling & designing principles.
  • Understanding of cloud-native architecture patterns, including microservices, serverless computing, and containerization. Understanding how to design scalable solutions on Azure.
  • Understanding of data governance principles, data privacy regulations, and security best practices. Knowledge of Azure security features, data encryption, and access control mechanisms.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools such as Azure DevOps, Git, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Knowledge of database management systems, both traditional and cloud-based, like Azure Cosmos DB, Azure SQL Database, etc.
