Contracts Manager

Location: Hybrid - DMV area

Overview

Cherry Bekaert Recruiting & Staffing is partnered with a government contractor seeking a Contracts Manager to oversee the administration of federal contracts and related agreements. This role will support cradle-to-grave contract management and serve as a key business partner to leadership, program teams, finance, and legal stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will bring strong knowledge of government contracting regulations, contract administration best practices, and cross-functional collaboration in a compliance-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the full lifecycle of prime contracts, subcontracts, teaming agreements, and NDAs
  • Review solicitations, contract awards, modifications, and other contractual documents
  • Provide guidance on contract interpretation, risk identification, and compliance requirements
  • Support proposal review, negotiations, and contract execution activities
  • Partner with finance and program teams to ensure alignment between contract terms and operational execution
  • Maintain organized contract files and support internal reporting requirements
  • Assist with audit requests, compliance reviews, and internal process improvements
  • Monitor contractual obligations and ensure timely communication of key terms, deadlines, and risks
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Contracts, Legal Studies, or related field
  • 5+ years of contracts administration or contracts management experience in a GovCon environment
  • Strong working knowledge of FAR and DCAA compliance requirements
  • Experience supporting a range of federal contract types preferred
  • Exposure to Deltek Costpoint or Unanet strongly preferred
  • Excellent written, verbal, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently while partnering effectively across teams
