What You'll Do:

Do you have experience performing grading work, including mass earthwork, loading hauling vehicles, grading for roads, curbs, walks, foundations, and other surfaces? If yes, read on!

  • Ensure the job meets all standards and specifications.
  • Ensure the job is performed following Ajaxโ€™s policies and procedures.
  • Train crew in specific duties to be performed.
  • Read plans and recognize discrepancies.
  • Ensure safe working conditions for the crew.
  • Properly maintain equipment.
  • Ensure effective communication between employees and supervisors.
  • Perform tasks properly and promptly.
  • Performs other related duties and assignments as required.
  • Maintain records as required for grading operation.
  • Job Type: Full-time

What You'll Need:

  • A minimum of yearsโ€™ experience performing grading work, including mass earthwork, loading hauling vehicles, grading for roads, curbs, walks, foundations, and other surfaces
  • Hands-on motivated leader for the crew.
  • Demonstrate an ability to organize, control and manage all areas of the grading operation.
  • Knowledge of materials, equipment, methods, and techniques used in road construction.
  • Knowledge of possible defects and faults in work and of stages where such faults and defects are determined.
  • Ability to understand and interpret terms and specifications of contracts.
  • Ability to conduct effective grading inspections for compliance.
  • Ability to calculate figures and mathematical concepts.
  • Understanding of DOT and site projects.
  • Understand work orders and recognize discrepancies.
