Job description

Colonnade at Kentlands, located in Gaithersburg, MD, is in need of a qualified worker to join our service team. This person will be expected to respond to maintenance work orders of the community, scheduling contractors, and oversight of contractors in conjunction with the on-site manager. . Ideal candidates will work well both with a team and individually. Excellent customer service skills required; some prior experience in maintenance is preferred.

**Hourly rate  is $25 an hour**

Schedule is Monday through Friday: 9am to 5pm, with on-call responsibilities

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for the overall maintenance of the community including trash removal from common area receptables.
  • Identify and resolve all maintenance issue including scheduling contractors and oversight of contractors in conjunction with the onsite manager.
  • Performs plumbing work such as cleaning stoppages and replacing
  • Maintains cleanliness, order, and safety at the community.
  • Assists in outdoor grounds work, when necessary, including grounds policing and snow
  • Participates in on-call schedule for evenings, weekends, and holiday
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to present a positive professional demeanor by encompassing WPM Brand Compass Values
  • Ability to operate PC and learn new software.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with homeowners, associates, and clients
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills
  • Valid driver’s license and vehicle
  • Able to troubleshoot minor electrical problems within various types of fixtures and
  • Required to work indoors on ladders, scaffolding, or lifts as well as outdoors.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent 
  • 5 years of maintenance experience preferred
