Job description


The Supervisor, Production Control administers the day-to-day tactical production control planning, scheduling, flow of materials, and monitoring to achieve the goals and objectives for delivery dates, output quality, volume, cost and optimization.
Responsibilities
  • Assign routine daily tasks prioritizing work schedules for production department and monitor work at frequent intervals to ensure daily production schedules are met
  • Conduct process confirmations to ensure standard work processes are being followed; identify and address non-compliance, look for continuous improvement opportunities while ensuring all operational processes are carried out in accordance with quality systems and procedures
  • Participate in staff selection, performance management (including evaluation and discipline), coaching, training, scheduling and employee development while ensuring compliance to legal and company requirements
  • Set weekly production targets. Maintain metrics and communicate production issues at daily and weekly production or program meetings
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to develop effective planning methodologies and best practices
  • Follow established practices & procedures and safety, quality, and production improvement goals
  • Support SIOP and other weekly organization reporting processes

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • No experience in people management required.
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in field.
