Position Summary
Kunes Auto & RV Group is seeking a skilled and customer-oriented Assistant RV Service Manager to join our team. In this role, you will serve as the vital link between our customers and the service department, ensuring their RVs receive top-notch care. You will support the Service Manager in leading the department-assisting customers, coordinating technicians, and helping drive an efficient, high-quality shop-while assessing service needs, preparing repair orders, and ensuring an outstanding experience every step of the way.

What You Will Do
Customer Engagement
? Greet customers warmly, assess their RV concerns, and record their needs
? Recommend maintenance and repair services based on manufacturer specifications and RV history
? Prepare detailed repair orders, including labor and parts estimates, for customer approval
? Communicate with customers about inspection results and recommend necessary corrective actions
? Provide updates on repair progress, explain costs, and secure customer authorization for additional work
? Advise customers on RV care, preventative maintenance, and available services
? Maintain a customer-focused environment, ensuring inquiries, concerns, and complaints are resolved promptly and professionally
? Build relationships to encourage customer loyalty and long-term business Leadership & Operations
? Assist in managing, training, and motivating service technicians and support staff
? Schedule service appointments and assign work to ensure timely, efficient completion of service orders
? Support day-to-day shop operations, including workflow, inventory needs, and scheduling
? Help monitor performance metrics and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
Quality Control & Compliance
? Conduct inspections and diagnostics to help ensure service quality and safety adherence
? Ensure all service work meets manufacturer and industry standards
? Maintain accurate records for service, parts usage, and labor hours
? Coordinate with technicians and ensure RVs are serviced within the promised timeframe
? Implement quality control processes to minimize errors and ensure customer satisfaction
Requirements
Qualifications
Required:
? Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail
? Proficiency with computer systems and service scheduling software
? Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Preferred:
? 2+ years prior experience in automotive or RV service, ideally with some supervisory
or lead experience
? Working knowledge of RV systems and components, diagnostic and repair methods
? Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair processes
Work Environment
The service department is fast-paced and requires attention to detail, strong leadership, and the
ability to handle multiple priorities. Work is performed in a shop setting with exposure to various
weather conditions, and occasional travel for training or industry events may be required.
