Cable Installation TechnicianJob Overview

We are seeking a Cable Installation Technician to support the installation and maintenance of communications infrastructure. This role involves working with low-voltage cabling systems, network equipment, and structured cabling environments. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and eager to learn while working in a team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, terminate, test, and splice communication cabling for voice and data networks.
  • Install and connect networking and telecommunications equipment following industry standards and project requirements.
  • Perform testing and verification of circuits, equipment, and connections to ensure proper functionality.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve cabling and equipment issues or escalate when necessary.
  • Label, document, and organize cabling systems and equipment.
  • Pull, terminate, and test copper, coaxial, and fiber optic communication cables.
  • Interpret and apply industry-standard wiring and color-coding schemes.
  • Route and secure cables through ceilings, conduit, equipment rooms, telecommunications spaces, and work areas.
  • Assist with the build-out and organization of telecommunications and equipment rooms.
  • Install fire-stopping materials and complete cable penetrations according to safety standards.
  • Install cable support systems, including conduit, raceways, cable trays, support rings, and other pathway infrastructure.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of installed cabling and network infrastructure.
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
  • Basic computer and smartphone proficiency.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.

Pay and Benefits
