Job description

Job Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Wafer Fab Equipment Engineer / Technician to join our semiconductor manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing our existing Semiconductor manufacturing equipment. Your expertise will ensure that manufacturing processes run smoothly, efficiently, and safely, contributing directly to the quality and reliability of our semiconductor products.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventive maintenance, calibration, and repair of a variety of wafer fabrication equipment. This includes photolithography equipment, photoresist spin coaters, metrology tools, wet benches, Semitool SRDs, PVD metal sputtering systems, horizontal diffusion furnaces and LPCVD systems.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues using root cause analysis techniques to minimize downtime and optimize throughput.
  • Maintain records / logs of maintenance activities.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience working in a manufacturing or factory environment with industrial equipment maintenance or engineering support.
  • Hands-on experience with electrical, analog/digital signals, mechanical and vacuum troubleshooting skills.
  • Must be able to work in confined equipment access areas, including tight spaces between semiconductor manufacturing equipment. 
  • Must be able to climb ladders and elevated platforms, and to access rooftop and utility areas.
  •  Must be able to safely perform maintenance activities in restricted-access areas.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on root cause analysis; ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate across departments effectively.
  • Applicants must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
