Position Hours: 12 Hour Shifts: Wednesday 12 AM midnight - 6AM, Thursday, Friday, Saturday 6PM - 6AM

Position Wage: $23.4 - $32.76 per hour (including 17% shift differential)

Job Description: The Inspection Operator is responsible for verifying products meet customer requirements, identifies nonconformities, communicating amp; documenting issues as they arise, amp; maintaining compliance with ThermTech’s Quality Management System. Working with production team members when needed will be expected as well.

Job Duties amp; Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

  • Follow schedules amp; process work to exceed customer expectations
  • Utilize the hot list amp; priority list for products
  • Perform daily walk through with prior shift for verification of testing instruments.
  • Safe amp; efficient operation of all equipment within the Inspection Department Cell
  • Learn proper testing locations based off of work instructions or part configuration
  • Assist in developing appropriate inspection techniques where required
  • Counting amp; identifying parts prior to inspection for verification of specific orders
  • Must understand proper packaging of parts including the following at a minimum
  • Wrapping of parts to prevent damage
  • Shrink wrap and banding of parts to skids
  • UPS packaging, double boxing
  • Appropriate tagging/identification practice
  • Maintain verification test blocks amp; communicate with Equipment Quality when replacements are required
  • Perform basic maintenance amp; adjustments on inspection equipment
  • Assist with production when needed
  • Understand tagging amp; transfer procedures
  • Understand the processing of all material within production areas
  • Ensure plant organization amp; cleanliness

    Minimum Requirements:

    • This position must satisfy ITAR (DSP-5) compliance requirements; therefore, candidates must be a lawful permanent resident [8 U.S.C. 1101(a)(20)] or a protected individual [8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)]. Employment of Foreign Persons(s) [22 CFR 120.63] will be contingent on receiving the DSP-5 license from the US State Department.
    • All hires are contingent upon a 9-panel hair follicle drug test amp; background check.
    • May be required to obtain and maintain forklift operation certification
    • May be required to work overtime or any shift, including weekends.

    Physical amp; Mental Demands: The following physical and mental demands consist of but are not limited to the following:

    • Must be able to work in a standing position for extended periods in a non-climate controlled industrial environment
    • Ability to bend, pull, stoop, and reach to perform functions.
    • Capable of lifting and carrying at least 25-pound objects throughout shift
    • Must be exposed to heat, fumes, noise, humidity, etc.
    • Must have the cognitive and mental capacity to perform essential job functions.
    • Must demonstrate the ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language.
    • Must demonstrate the ability to perform fundamental mathematical skills and concepts (e.g. addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, percentages, and the basics of algebra and geometry).
    • Visual acuity to read documents, computer screens, files, etc.
    • Ability to hear in person and via phone.

    Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred

    Experience: Prior factory work or Heat-Treating experience preferred
