Job description

Capital Chevrolet of Wake Forest is seeking a proactive, driven, and results-oriented Automotive Acquisition Specialist to join our growing team! This role is critical to maintaining a strong and diverse inventory by identifying, sourcing, and acquiring high-quality vehicles that meet customer demand and dealership goals.
The ideal candidate has strong negotiation skills, a solid understanding of automotive market trends and vehicle values, and enjoys building relationships while finding opportunities to grow inventory in a competitive market.
What You'll Be Doing
  • Source and acquire new and pre-owned vehicles through auctions, trade-ins, private sellers, and other acquisition channels
  • Stay informed on market trends, pricing fluctuations, vehicle values, and consumer demand to support strategic purchasing decisions
  • Analyze inventory needs and market data to identify acquisition opportunities
  • Inspect and evaluate vehicle condition to ensure purchases meet dealership quality standards
  • Negotiate pricing and terms with sellers to secure cost-effective vehicle acquisitions
  • Coordinate with inventory management and sales team to ensure seamless integration of acquired vehicles into inventory systems
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to vehicle purchases and acquisitions
  • Build and maintain relationships with vendors, sellers, and industry partners
  • Assist with additional projects and responsibilities as assigned

What We're Looking For
  • Previous experience as a Vehicle Acquisition Specialist or in a similar automotive role preferred
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • In-depth understanding of the automotive market, including vehicle values and pricing trends
