Job description

The Oppprtunity

This is a high-ownership, post-sale role for a programmatic expert who loves turning data into compelling stories for clients. As Senior Account Manager on Unity's Agency & Brand Partnerships team, you will own a portfolio of brand and agency accounts across the US - ensuring their campaigns and programmatic deals deliver, optimizing for performance against their KPIs, and being the trusted advisor who keeps them coming back and spending more.

You sit at the intersection of campaign management, data analysis, programmatic operations, and client strategy. You will work closely with Sales Executives to onboard won deals seamlessly, drive revenue by identifying strategic upsells, renewals and campaign optimization, and push the boundaries of what Unity's platform can deliver for brand advertisers. You bring both the technical depth to troubleshoot a PMP deal and the storytelling skills to turn a campaign wrap report into a compelling business case for expanded investment.

What You'll Do

  • Own a portfolio of agency and brand accounts across within your territory: serve as the primary post-sale relationship owner and day-to-day point of contact post-sale.

  • Manage programmatic and managed service campaigns from setup through delivery and reporting - ensuring correct trafficking, pacing, brand safety compliance, and performance optimization.

  • Troubleshoot PMP, Programmatic Guaranteed, and direct deal issues across DSP and SSP platforms including The Trade Desk, DV360, Amazon DSP, Nexxen, Index Exchange, Magnite, and others; work with ad operations and engineering to resolve deal delivery, creative, and discrepancy issues promptly.

  • Conduct regular performance reviews with clients and agency partners - analyzing impression delivery, reach, viewability, brand lift, purchase lift, engagement, and custom KPIs to generate actionable optimization recommendations.

  • Proactively identify upsell and expansion opportunities within your portfolio; partner with Sales Executives to build renewal and incremental revenue proposals with a data-driven rationale.

  • Develop client-facing reporting packages, campaign wrap decks, and strategic insights presentations that tell a clear performance story and reinforce Unity's value proposition.

  • Leverage AI tools (including Claude, Convey AI, and purpose-built ad ops tools like Blue Sierra) to streamline workflows, accelerate analysis, and enhance client deliverables.

  • Partner with Unity's Ad Operations, Data, and Product teams to escalate and resolve technical issues; serve as the client's internal advocate to ensure their campaigns are prioritized appropriately.

  • Maintain accurate account records and revenue tracking in Salesforce; contribute to weekly team forecasting on renewals and upsell pipeline.

  • Onboard new clients and agency trading desk contacts; lead platform training sessions and educate clients on new Unity ad products, data capabilities, and deal structures.

  • Stay current on DSP/SSP ecosystem developments, programmatic trends, mobile gaming advertising benchmarks, and emerging buying channels (CTV, audio, in-game) to counsel clients on how to evolve their Unity investment.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in programmatic account management, ad operations, or campaign management at a publisher, SSP, ad network, or digital media company.

  • Expert-level working knowledge of the major DSP /SSP platforms; experience managing PMP and Programmatic Guaranteed deals across these platforms is required.

  • Strong background in programmatic troubleshooting: deal ID setup, bid stream debugging, creative trafficking, impression and revenue discrepancy resolution, and brand safety policy management.

  • Analytical mindset with proven ability to independently analyze campaign data, identify trends and anomalies, and translate findings into clear, client-ready recommendations.

  • Hands-on experience with SSP-side tools such as Magnite, PubMatic, or Index Exchange is a strong plus - fluency in the sell-side dynamics that govern Unity's programmatic inventory.

  • Excellent communicator: comfortable leading client calls, presenting to agency investment teams, and distilling complex technical issues into plain-language summaries.

  • Proven track record of identifying and converting upsell opportunities within an existing book of business; you don't wait for Sales to spot the opportunity - you bring it to them.

  • Tech-forward: proactive about adopting AI and automation tools to improve workflow efficiency, scale analysis, and produce higher-quality client outputs.

  • Highly organized with strong project management instincts; able to manage a high volume of active campaigns and client requests simultaneously without losing the thread on any account.

Bonus Points

  • Experience with mobile in-app advertising, gaming media, or Unity Ads/LevelPlay/IronSource platform specifics.

  • Background working directly with retail media network buyers or commerce media clients at the programmatic trading desk level.

  • Familiarity with measurement methodologies: brand lift studies (Kantar, Nielsen, Lucid), MRC cross-media measurement, attention metrics, purchase lift (Attain, Fetch, etc) and custom research partnerships.

  • Experience using CRM and revenue tracking tools (Salesforce, Looker, Tableau) for pipeline management and account-level revenue reporting.

  • Prior use of AI-assisted workflow tools (Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, Convey AI Blue Sierra) for reporting, analysis, or client communication is a plus.
