Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce is seeking a Senior Frontend Platform Engineer on behalf of our major telecommunications client in Greenwood Village, CO.
Summary:
This is an opportunity to join a highly specialized engineering team responsible for building the foundational frontend architecture that enables product teams across the organization to deliver scalable, flexible user experiences. This is not a traditional React development role. The team designs the frameworks, extensibility mechanisms, and platform capabilities that power frontend development across the enterprise. If you enjoy solving complex architectural challenges, designing reusable systems, and building technology that enables other engineers to move faster, this is an excellent opportunity.
Responsibilities:
* Design and develop reusable frontend platform capabilities using TypeScript and modern web technologies
* Build extensible component architecture and framework-level solutions that enable customization without sacrificing consistency
* Partner closely with designers and engineering teams to create scalable frontend infrastructure
* Develop architectural patterns that accommodate evolving business requirements while maintaining long-term maintainability
* Solve complex technical challenges through creative systems design and innovative engineering approaches
* Build flexible solutions that anticipate future needs rather than rigid implementations
* Balance competing technical and business priorities to deliver scalable platform capabilities
* Take ownership of architectural decisions and drive technical initiatives with minimal direction
* Collaborate across multiple teams to influence frontend standards and platform evolution
REQUIREMENTS:
* Strong professional experience with TypeScript (required)
* Experience designing frontend architecture, frameworks, reusable libraries, or platform capabilities
* Experience building scalable, maintainable software with a focus on extensibility
* Strong systems-thinking skills with the ability to simplify and organize complex technical problems
* Excellent collaboration and communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally
* Demonstrated ownership, initiative, and the ability to independently identify and solve technical problems
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with React and modern frontend frameworks (expert-level React experience is not required)
* Experience building design systems, component libraries, or frontend platforms
* Experience designing extensibility, plugin, or framework architectures
* Experience working closely with UX and product design teams
* Proven ability to influence technical direction across multiple engineering teams
