Position: Senior Software Engineer, Full Stack (TypeScript, React, AWS)
Type: Contract
Compensation: $55–$75/hour
Location: Hybrid, Seattle, WA

Role Responsibilities

  • Design and build robust TypeScript/Node.js services for EHR integrations and clinical workflows.
  • Deploy and operate microservices on AWS using containerization.
  • Build React/TypeScript provider- and patient-facing interfaces optimized for desktop and mobile.
  • Develop integrations with patient-education and patient-engagement vendors, including notifications and tracking.
  • Contribute to code reviews and system-design discussions, balancing quality with startup speed.

Qualifications

Must-Have

  • 3 to 5 years of professional experience building production software systems using TypeScript/JavaScript.
  • Strong computer science fundamentals: algorithms, data structures, OOP design, concurrency, and distributed systems.
  • RESTful or event-driven API development with Node.js (Nest/Express).
  • Strong front-end skills with React and TypeScript, including mobile and desktop optimization.
  • Comfort debugging across distributed services and working agilely in a startup environment.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident located in the United States; this role is hybrid, with onsite days in Seattle, WA.

Preferred

  • Healthcare startup or health-data integration background.
  • High-throughput messaging platform experience.
  • AWS, GCP, or Azure cloud experience.
