Kett Engineering is a well-established company with over 60 years of experience in the automotive testing industry. We specialize in supporting vehicle testing, development, and personnel management for leading automotive manufacturers and Tier-1 suppliers across various testing environments.

Overview
We are seeking a motivated and energetic Short Term Test Driver/Operator to join our team and help support automotive testing with a Luxury Automotive brand. In this role, you will be responsible for driving prototype like vehicles and utilize equipment to collect vehicle data and support automotive testing programs. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge vehicles and contribute to high-profile testing projects in a dynamic environment. Experience with Microsoft, Excel, Spreadsheets, etc. is HIGHLY sought out.

  • 1st Shift: 6am - 2:30pm
  • 2nd Shift: 3:30pm - Midnight
  • Project will last approximately 4-6 weeks but may be extended

Duties

  • Safely operate passenger vehicles
  • Collect and distribute vehicle data to engineers
  • Conduct vehicle inspections prior to operation, ensuring safety and compliance with all regulations.
  • Follow detailed testing protocols and document vehicle performance data accurately.
  • Communicate effectively with team members regarding vehicle status, test procedures, and safety concerns.
  • Maintain cleanliness and basic mechanical checks on vehicles and equipment to ensure optimal operation.

Skills

  • Computer literacy, the position will utilize computers and computer programs to collect data and distribute collected data.
  • Mechanical knowledge to perform basic inspections and troubleshoot minor issues on vehicles and equipment.
  • Strong communication skills for clear reporting and team coordination.
  • Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles confidently, required to drive but not required for data collection.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required
  • Clean Driver's License, no tickets or accidents within the last 3 years.
  • Ability to drive a manual transmission for those driving the vehicles
  • Able to pass and clear a background check and drug test
  • Computer literate/tech savvy especially with Microsoft office and spreadsheets
