Java Developer

Java developer- (Java, Spring, Kafka) - Hybrid - Sunnyvale, CA

Additional details:

  • Position is based out of Sunnyvale and it is mandatory for the candidate to be local to the Bay Area for a hybrid position to go to Walmart office twice a week and 3 days remote.
  • Top 3 skills needed/required: Java, Spring, Kafka & Cassandra

Job Description:

  • Designs, develops, and implements web-based Java applications to support business requirements.
  • Follows approved life cycle methodologies, creates design documents, and performs program coding and testing.
  • Resolves technical issues through debugging, research, and investigation.
  • Requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty and 1 - 3 years of experience in Java based micro services on cloud and non relational databases (Cassandra preferred) desired experience in Splunk, Kafka and CI/CD.
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Performs a variety of tasks.
  • A degree of creativity and latitude is required.
  • Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.

Required Skills: Java. Additional Skills: Web Developer. This is a high priority requisition.
