We are seeking a Bridge Design Engineer with 5-15 years of experience to join our growing team in Shelton, CT. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of transportation infrastructure projects, including the design and rehabilitation of bridges for state and local agencies. Responsibilities:

  • Perform structural analysis and design for bridge and transportation structures
  • Prepare preliminary and final design plans, calculations, and specifications
  • Develop cost estimates and assist with contract document preparation
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and support project delivery
  • Participate in client meetings and support project communication
  • Conduct site visits and inspections as needed
  • Ensure designs meet applicable codes and standards (AASHTO, CTDOT guidelines)
  • Ability to work independently

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • 5-15 years of bridge/structural design experience
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in CT (or ability to obtain) preferred
  • Experience preparing bridge design plans and calculations
  • Familiarity with AASHTO and state CTDOT standards
