 Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician) certification required
  • Previous experience as a:
    • Sterile Processing Technician
    • Central Sterile Technician
    • Instrument Technician
    • Central Service Technician
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Sterile processing workflows
    • Surgical instrument handling
    • Decontamination procedures
    • Sterilization techniques
    • Infection prevention practices
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform decontamination, cleaning, inspection, assembly, packaging, and sterilization of surgical instruments
  • Assemble surgical trays and instrument sets according to department standards
  • Ensure proper sterilization processes are followed and documented
  • Inspect instruments for cleanliness, function, and quality
  • Maintain accurate sterilization records and documentation
  • Prepare instruments and supplies for surgical procedures
  • Collaborate with Operating Room staff to ensure timely instrument availability
  • Maintain inventory and organization of surgical instruments and supplies
  • Assist with SPD and OR support tasks as needed
