Job description

This Highway Safety Engineer position serves as the statewide technical expert for Louisiana's Strategic Highway Safety Plan and related safety improvement programs. The role involves identifying high-potential safety improvement locations, conducting data-driven safety analyses, managing safety studies and projects, and providing expert consultation to legal and risk management divisions. The engineer will also participate in specialized training and manage contracts with consultants and universities on highway safety matters.

Key qualifications
  • Current Louisiana professional engineering license plus two years of licensed engineering experience in traffic engineering, highway safety, or transportation planning; OR six years of professional en
