Job Description

Position Summary

We are seeking a Product Quality Engineer to support the verification and validation of hardware, firmware, and software products throughout the product development lifecycle.

This role is responsible for reviewing product and regulatory requirements, developing comprehensive test plans and test cases, executing manual testing activities, and ensuring product requirements are fully verified and traceable. The successful candidate will work closely with engineering, product management, automation engineers, test technicians, and quality teams to ensure products meet functional, performance, and regulatory expectations.

This position plays a key role in translating requirements into structured verification activities and helping build a scalable regression testing strategy through collaboration with automation and test teams.

Essential Responsibilities

Requirements Analysis & Verification

  • Review product, system, and regulatory requirements to ensure they are clear, testable, and traceable.
  • Develop verification strategies that demonstrate compliance with product and regulatory requirements.
  • Create and maintain requirements traceability between requirements, test cases, defects, and verification results.
  • Participate in requirements reviews and provide feedback regarding testability and risk.

Test Planning & Test Development

  • Develop and maintain test plans, test procedures, and test cases for hardware, firmware, and software products.
  • Ensure adequate test coverage across functional, integration, system, performance, and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for regression testing and automation.
  • Work with automation engineers to transition suitable manual test cases into automated regression tests.

Product Verification & Validation

  • Execute manual verification and validation testing.
  • Document test results and provide clear pass/fail assessments against requirements.
  • Investigate, document, and track defects through resolution.
  • Support regression, integration, and end-to-end system testing activities.
  • Verify fixes and perform impact assessments for product changes.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Coordinate testing activities with automation engineers, manual testers, and test technicians.
  • Work with technicians on laboratory and regulatory testing activities requiring specialized equipment or technical expertise.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve product issues and improve product quality.
  • Provide status updates and test coverage metrics to project stakeholders.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in quality assurance, verification and validation, systems testing, or product testing.
  • Experience developing test plans, test procedures, and test cases from product requirements.
  • Strong understanding of software and hardware testing methodologies.
  • Experience executing structured manual testing activities.
  • Ability to analyze technical requirements and translate them into effective test coverage.
  • Experience documenting and managing software and hardware defects.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively across engineering, quality, and product teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with requirements management and traceability practices.
  • Experience using Jira, Xray, Azure DevOps, TestRail, or similar test management tools.

Additional Information

The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $80,000-100,000 per year. Within the range, individual pay is determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to, work experience and job knowledge, complexity of the role, job location, etc.

In addition to base salary, full-time employees are eligible to participate in Keenfinity Group's (US) Health and Welfare Benefit Plans-including medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance-as well as the company's 401(k) plan, subject to the terms and conditions of the respective plan documents. Full-time employees are eligible to participate in Keenfinity Group's paid time off and sick leave programs in accordance with applicable policies.
