Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Regulatory Compliance Engineer to support the development and certification of intrusion detection and security system products. This role is responsible for interpreting regulatory requirements, developing compliance verification strategies, and executing quality assurance activities across hardware, firmware, and software platforms.

The successful candidate will work closely with Product Development, Engineering, Quality Assurance, and external certification agencies to ensure products meet applicable regulatory, safety, and performance requirements for global markets including North America and Europe.

This role combines regulatory compliance expertise with hands-on product verification and validation testing in a laboratory environment.

Essential Responsibilities:

Regulatory Compliance

  • Review and interpret regulatory standards and certification requirements including UL, ULC, CE, EN, FCC, IC, and other applicable industry standards.
  • Identify and document compliance requirements for new and existing products.
  • Develop compliance verification plans and test procedures.
  • Coordinate certification efforts with external testing and certification agencies.
  • Support product submissions, audits, reviews, and certification activities.
  • Partner with engineering teams to resolve compliance-related findings.

Quality Assurance & Verification

  • Execute manual testing of hardware, firmware, and software products.
  • Perform system-level, module-level, integration, and regression testing.
  • Verify compliance to functional and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and execute verification test cases and test plans.
  • Document defects and work closely with development teams to support issue resolution.
  • Evaluate product performance against regulatory and customer requirements.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electronics, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Quality Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 3+ years of experience in product testing, quality assurance, verification and validation, or regulatory compliance.
  • Experience interpreting technical requirements and industry standards.
  • Understanding of hardware, firmware, and software testing methodologies.
  • Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience creating test plans, test procedures, and test reports.
  • Ability to communicate technical information to engineering and management teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with UL, ULC, CE, EN, FCC, IC, or similar regulatory standards.
  • Experience with intrusion detection, security, access control, or life safety systems.
  • Familiarity with Jira, Azure DevOps, Xray, or similar tools.
  • Experience with requirements traceability and verification management.

Additional Information

The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $125,000-135,000 per year. Within the range, individual pay is determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to, work experience and job knowledge, complexity of the role, job location, etc.

In addition to base salary, full-time employees are eligible to participate in Keenfinity Group's (US) Health and Welfare Benefit Plans—including medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance—as well as the company’s 401(k) plan, subject to the terms and conditions of the respective plan documents. Full-time employees are eligible to participate in Keenfinity Group’s paid time off and sick leave programs in accordance with applicable policies.
