Pay Range: $15-$18 per hour
Schedule: 7p-7:30a, 36 hours per week, every other weekend, holidays as needed
Contract Length: 16 Weeks
Candidate Type: Local and traveler friendly


Requirements:

  • 2 years of experience as a Health Aide
  • Two (2) continuous years of experience providing basic patient care in psychiatric healthcare is required
  • HS Diploma/GED
  • Current Life Saver Certification is required
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 25lbs and have the strength to push and pull and stand for long periods of time.

Responsibilities

As a healthcare professional in a Psych facility, youโ€™ll play a critical role in serving a unique and often underserved patient population. Your care will directly impact patient safety, wellness, and rehabilitation. A few of the responsibilities include:

  • Under direct supervision, provides basic patient care and works with patients/clients to
    develop daily living skills. May take vital signs.
  • Responds to patients call for assistance.
  • Maintain acceptable standards of patient care consistent with Joint Commission, CMS, and
    Department policies, including diet and physical activity.
  • Performs approved techniques to prevent and safely manage aggressive behaviors.
