South Burlington, VT, or Bedford, NH - Salary Range 125-175k
Job Brief
Seeking a Senior Bridge Engineer with 8 or more years of experience working on municipal and state highway bridge projects. The position will be responsible for technical task management, leading bridge design tasks, staff development, and assist with business development.
Responsibilities
  • Structural design codes including AASHTO LRFD and AASHTO LRFR
  • Structure design software including MIDAS,
  • Familiarity with providing services to NHDOT and/or VTrans
  • Completing and checking complex engineering calculations, plans, specifications, and estimates for the designs of concrete and precast decks, steel and concrete superstructures, integral and semi-integral abutments, wingwalls, culverts and retaining walls.
  • Management of technical tasks and relevant staff.
  • Provide operational and project management support to the bridge lead.
  • Provide technical development of a variety of bridge projects of various sizes and designs.
  • Prepare conceptual, preliminary, and final design documents.
  • Oversee work, quality control, client coordination and all daily technical aspects of projects assigned to you.

Qualifications
  • 8 plus years of experience in Bridge Engineering
  • BS/MS in Civil Engineering
  • PE License preferred
  • Demonstrated technical experience
  • Micro-station and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D experience
  • Working knowledge of AASHTO Design Guidelines
