This is an operations-focused position for an engineer who enjoys troubleshooting live production issues, managing ticket queues, and keeping mission-critical systems running smoothly.

The ideal candidate has strong networking fundamentals, excellent troubleshooting skills, and experience supporting end users across Windows, macOS, and Ubuntu environments. This is not a network design or architecture role—it is focused on day-to-day operational support and infrastructure reliability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise network infrastructure.
  • Configure and support Cisco routing, switching, VPNs, firewalls, and wireless infrastructure.
  • Manage and resolve network-related incidents through the IT ticketing system.
  • Provide Tier 2/3 support for networking and security issues.
  • Support Cisco ASR routers, Cisco Wireless Controllers, and other Cisco networking equipment.
  • Maintain VPN connectivity and firewall configurations.
  • Provide IT support for Ubuntu, macOS, and Windows systems.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, networking, and end-user issues.
  • Perform general office IT support, including workstation setup and maintenance.
  • Document issues, resolutions, and infrastructure changes.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure reliable network operations and security.

Required Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizen.
  • CCNP Certification with 1–2 years of professional experience OR 5–6 years of Network Engineering experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Cisco networking technologies.
  • Experience supporting:
    • Cisco ASR Routers
    • Cisco Wireless Controllers
    • VPN technologies
    • Enterprise Firewalls
    • Routing & Switching
  • Experience supporting Ubuntu, macOS, and Windows operating systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting and incident resolution skills.
  • Experience working with IT ticketing systems and supporting end users.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting enterprise network operations.
  • Familiarity with security best practices and firewall administration.
  • Experience in fast-paced production IT environments.
  • Strong documentation and organizational skills.

What We're Looking For

  • Hands-on Network Engineer who enjoys solving real-time production issues.
  • Strong operational mindset with excellent troubleshooting abilities.
  • Comfortable managing multiple support tickets and priorities.
  • Team player with excellent communication and customer support skills.
  • Someone who thrives in an onsite, collaborative engineering environment..

Why Join Bastille Networks?

  • Direct Hire opportunity with competitive compensation.
  • Work with cutting-edge enterprise networking and security technologies.
  • Join a collaborative engineering team where your technical expertise has a direct impact on daily operations.
  • Opportunity to build and strengthen enterprise networking, security, and infrastructure support skills in a fast-paced environment.
