Job description

Leidos' Flight Service Program in the Homeland - Air Traffic sector currently has an opening in our Ft Worth TX Flight Service Data Center. This is an exciting opportunity to use your Network Administration experience to help the Flight Service ongoing mission.
Leidos is seeking an IT Network Administrator for our Ft Worth Data Center, responsible for supporting 24x7x365 Flight Service IT Operation in a complex multi-platform environments supporting general aviation pilots safety flight briefings, search and rescue activities, ground to ground communications, and air to ground communications systems. Responsible for supporting the deployed Leidos Corporate internal network file servers, desktops, notebooks, printers, etc, installed in the Ft Worth facility.
Responsible for after-hours support, working independently to resolve reported issues, implementing new hardware into production computer rooms, complete activities that can't be done during first and mid-shifts to minimize risks associated with equipment changes & implementations in active production FFSP operational computer rooms.
Maintains technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, multiplexers, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc. Coordinates third-party maintenance for network and office automation equipment and troubleshoots problems with department users and supports network engineers as needed.
Responsible for "Break/Fix" on all Flight Service operational enterprise equipment 24x7x365 and systems as directed by the FFSP Service Desk and related department Subject Matter Experts. Responsible for all desktop software support within the facility. Must be familiar with all aspects of administering domain resources and processes ensuring secure and viable internal Leidos and FFSP Flight Service deployed operational network and systems.
Statement of Work for Information Technology Support - Network Administration
  • Works independently after-hours supporting Maintenance Window hardware installations on third shift for the installation of new hardware into production operations for the Flight Service computer rooms and Flight Service Operations room floor equipment
  • Responsible for supporting program personnel with all administrative desktop Office 365 Applications
  • Responsible for assisting Leidos Corporate technical teams to solve network/application/system problems encountered in facility.
  • Support File Server monthly patching and vulnerability updates
  • Provide support to the Hardware Engineering Team by installing and supporting the following.
    • Installation and support of all Production Desktop Workstations
    • Installation and support of all Production Network Components
    • Installation and support of all Production Telco interfaces and demarc points
    • Installation and support of all Production Servers, Appliances, Network Devices and system components in production computer rooms.
  • Work as part of a larger team of Subject Matter Experts working in the Network and Security Operations Teams to affect repairs to all automation equipment within the facility and within the FFSP enterprise networks.

Required Skills:
  • Proven Server Administration Support for Microsoft Windows 2019 and above
  • Proven Desktop Application Support (MS 365, AutoCad, PDFGear, MS Project,
  • MS Visio, VMWare Workstation
  • Rack and hardware installations in Computer Room environments
  • Must be able to obtain an SF-85P Public Trust clearance from the FAA customer.
  • Due to contract requirements, the position requires U.S. Citizenship.

Preferred Skills: Microsoft MCSE
Solid background in Desktop/Server/ & Network installation and Support
5+ Years of solid diverse LAN/WAN support to enterprise networks.
Telecom Support - Fiber Patch cables installations within Computer Rooms
CAT5/CAT6 Cable Installation within Computer Rooms and facility at large
Deliverables: Weekly Inventory Asset Management Updates
Daily Problem Ticket processing
Work Schedule: Generally M-F, 8 Hour Shift, 40 Hours per week
