Onboard Systems Hoist & Winch, located in Anaheim, CA is one of the worldโ€™s leading providers of Search & Rescue (SAR) and Human External Cargo (HEC) advanced mission equipment for civil, commercial, and military helicopters.


Position Overview


Location: Anaheim, CA (Onsite)

Shift: Monday-Friday, 6:00am - 2:30pm

Pay: $25.00 per hour


This is a union position covered under a collective bargaining agreement.

Starting pay is $25.00 per hour per the union contract.

The ability to pass a pre-employment background check and an FAA-regulated drug test is required.


The Test Technician will be responsible for performing functional and performance testing of helicopter hoists and cargo winches, ensuring conformance to blueprint specifications and adherence to quality standards. In this role, you will utilize hand tools and equipment for test adjustments, inspect parts and products for quality, and maintain a safe and organized work environment.


What Youโ€™ll Do

  • Perform functional and performance testing on helicopter hoists and cargo winches in accordance with blueprint specifications and established quality standards.
  • Utilize hand tools and equipment to perform necessary adjustments during test operations.
  • Acquire the necessary skills, knowledge, and certifications to effectively perform job duties.
  • Inspect parts and completed products to identify and resolve any quality defects.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable quality systems, environmental health, and safety requirements.
  • Maintain tools, materials, and the work area in a clean and organized condition.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.


Who You Are

  • This position requires the ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing, to complete inspection reports and understand safety and quality standards.
  • High School Diploma or GED, with a minimum of 1 year of Aerospace or Automotive industry experience. Graduation from an Aerospace or Automotive technical program can substitute for experience.
  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status).
  • Prior manufacturing experience is preferred.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and follow detailed test instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
